Conservators have always used badger brushes , although they are best known for their use as shaving brushes.
A unique feature of badger hairs is that they are hollow allowing them to retain dust and small particles for more effective cleaning.
The PEL badger brush bristles have a spring to them which flicks out particles of dust when cleaning works of art and especially useful when cleaning picture frames.

Please note: Some initial bristle loss is expected with natural hair brushes, this can be reduced by combing and manipulating the brush head before use.
